Switzerland Company Namecheck

In Switzerland Company name clearance is advisable but not obligatory. Following notorisation of documents, the name must be entered in the commercial registry of the appropriate Canton.

The Federal Commercial Registry will only refuse a name if it is identical, almost identical or phonetically the same as a name already registered, equally one that implies state sponsorship.

Use of certain words such as Bank, Insurance and Group will require special permission.
