Company Search

Company Name Search

Confirmation that the company is incorporated at the Registry, this service will only locate active companies within the country you select. After you have submitted your company name, we will do a free company name search with Registry and get back to you with the result. Although most registry this search is free some jurisidction do not allow this information public.

Maintaining Company Records

The filing requirements varies in each country, in some offshore countries a company is required to file only its Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association and not required to file its Register of Directors, Register of Shareholders, Register of Charges or an Annual Return. Is the company information always in English

Each country registry provides the information in its national language. For example all French company documents from the registry are in the French language.

Does Formacompany store company information in its own databases

All corporate information is retrieved directly from the national corporate registers in real-time and passed on to the customer. This ensures it is the latest company information and official copies directly from the companies registry. These can be emailed or couriered at cost.

Can’t I find the company I am looking for?

There are a number of reasons that our search might not be able to find the company you are looking for. If the company is not registered in the country you are searching in, it will not appear in the search results.

Subtle spelling changes within the company name, or order of the words used, can make it appear as if a company does not exist. As each country employs subtle differences to the search algorithms, performing one type of search in one country might produce a different result in another. Please provide as much information as possible including the company registration number if available.

Dormant Company

The term  dormant applies to a company that, in legal terms, has no significant accounting transactions during a financial year. It is not the same as a non-trading company, a term that has no legal meaning. No significant accounting transactions means no entries in the company’s accounting records. The amount paid for shares when the company is first formed and a few costs that the company may incur in order to keep the company registered at the registry do not count as significant accounting transactions.

Apostille Certificate

An apostille involves the addition of a certificate stamped on the document itself or attached to the document. It certifies the following:

• The country of origin of the document
• The name and identity of the signature
• Capacity in which a document has been signed
• The name of any authority which has affixed a seal or stamp to the document
• Place
• Date
• Number
• Official seal

Certificate of Good Standing

A certificate of good standing states that the company has been in continuous, unbroken existence since its incorporation and that no action is currently being taken to strike the company off the register and is therefore in ‘good standing’.
